We are implementing the training process from one rural area to the other. Farmers commit themselves because they want their cacao to be the best. The cacaothat goes into Chocolate Santander has very distinctive features. It is grown in the shade, in old plantations, over 10 years of age, with “criollo” traces and strong fruity and floral aromas that are so captivating. We are giving these growers, producers of Santander cacao, training related to processing in the search for still better cacao, which is the basis of the economy of this Colombian region. Santander cacaogrowers are the recipients of special treatment, like a better price for their product, and agricultural advice and training for development of their activity.
